Sensory integration is what allows our senses to work together as a team. Signs your child may have difficulty in this area include; difficulty settling their bodies for age appropriate functional tasks, sensitivity to clothing, avoidance of playground equipment, “too rough” with toys or peers, intense reactions to common sounds, difficulty regulating behavior in crowds, poor emotional regulation, bumps into furniture, people or objects in the environment with little awareness of where their body is in space.
